Welsh restaurant is testing residents’ knowledge of Wales on St David’s Day

An Italian restaurant in Cardiff is celebrating St David’s Day by giving customers the opportunity to win a free meal for two.

Giovanni’s Restaurant in Park Place will give customers the option to answer a trivia question on Wales after finishing their meal. If the customer answers the question correctly, they will receive a free meal for two on their next visit.

The owner of Giovanni’s Restaurants, Giovanni Malacrino said:

“As we are celebrating our 35 years anniversary this year, we wanted to offer our customers something extra special this St David’s Day and to have a bit of fun with them. St David’s Day is always an exciting day, and we are so proud to be have been here in Cardiff celebrating it for such a long time.”

The Giovanni’s Restaurants staff will be prepared with a number of questions to fire at people who think they have what it takes. Giovanni said:

“St David’s Day is a day to celebrate Wales and its culture. What better way to do that than to test people’s trivia on the country they’re celebrating, and to reward those who really know their stuff. If you think you’ve got what it takes, come on over!”

To add to the excitement, everyone who takes part will be given balloons, with a number of them holding special vouchers or other prizes inside.

St David’s Day will be taking place on March 1st, with celebrations taking place across Wales.
