Tea is a quintessentially British drink, we have been drinking it for over 350 years. For the founders of Hope & Glory Tea Nina and Bharat Chudasama, a tea-loving nation deserves only the best a brew can be. So, with that in mind Hope & Glory Tea are taking part in H&C EXPO to offer all visitors a refreshing cup of tea throughout the event.
“For us, tea symbolises everything that is great, was great, and can be great about being British, and we want to keep it that way,” says Bharat, who set up Hope & Glory Tea with Nina, the company’s CEO, two years ago. Hope & Glory’s strapline is ‘Devoted to Tea’, and the Chudasamas have made it their mission to make people as crazy about tea as they are.
Tea is an experience to savour and enjoy. The Hope & Glory Tea experience will be taken in by every visitor immediately as they enter the exhibition hall in July. Tea will be brewing and the aromas from eleven different tea blends will greet visitors on arrival. If visitor’s sense of smell then leads them to the Hope & Glory Tea area, Nina, Bharat and the Hope and Glory Tea team will be there to greet them.
Once visitors are at the stand the tea experience will build from there with tastings running throughout H&C EXPO.
Visitors can witness the ‘seven steps for a perfect brew’, seeing the preparation of teas, touching the tea blends examining the leaves and textures. Tasting teas that are personally selected by Nina and Bharat from travels across the tea world to find only the best teas and infusions available.
Nina explained why Hope & Glory Tea are taking part in H&C EXPO:
“Bharat and I travel extensively to visit tea gardens and tea plantations in India, Sri Lanka and China. We try to do as much of it ourselves as possible because we’re so particular about our collections , we are passionate about our teas and tisanes and to source the best we travel and taste test thousands of samples.
Experiencing our tea is what has led to Hope & Glory Tea being the exclusive tea partner of the 5-star Waldorf Hilton in Covent Garden and many more hospitality venues. At H&C EXPO we want to meet many more hoteliers, restauranteurs and caterers from across foodservice to experience Hope and Glory Tea.”
Bharat expanded by saying:
“At Hope and Glory, we’re very particular about where we source our tea, we only work with growers who are part of the Ethical Tea Partnership. We’re serious about sustainability. Our teas are handpicked, whole-leaf, single estate, Fair Trade and Soil Association approved. They are also packed at source.
So, as well as having our own stand at H&C EXPO we are also sponsoring the Sustainability Roundtable event at H&C EXPO. We want to sit down and discuss the practicalities of sustainability with like minded people across hospitality and catering.”
For Hope & Glory Tea provenance is at the heart of their tea proposition, impacting on the tea’s appearance, flavour and aroma. For Nina and Bharat Chudasama, founders of Hope & Glory Tea, sustainability is part of everything they do.
Mark Harris, Event Director H&C EXPO was more than pleased that visitors would be welcomed to the H&C EXPO exhibition hall with a lovely cup of tea waiting for them. Mark said:
“What better way to welcome our visitors, Hope and Glory Tea will be brewing sending the aroma of tea wafting towards visitors as they arrive. The tea experience awaiting visitors is a rich one, I love my tea and having tried, and tasted Hope and Glory Tea so I know visitors are in for a real treat.”
