Wine café group Veeno plans 12 more sites

Italian wine café chain Veeno plans to open 12 new branches across the UK.

The company has appointed Cedar Dean Commercial (CDC), part of property firm Cedar Dean Gilmarc, to oversee its expansion strategy.

CDC will provide lease advice, rent review and business rate services for the company, which is looking to expand in “prime markets” and especially in London.

Veeno was founded in November 2013 in Manchester by Nino Caruso and Andrea Zecchino.

It now has 15 sites throughout the country.

It serves wines produced in the family vineyard of co-founder Nino Caruso, Caruso & Minini, in Marsala, Sicily and platters of spuntini (platters of Italian meats and cheeses).

Nino Caruso, co-founder said: “We are delighted by the response from our growing customer base for our unique brand, and will be working with Cedar Dean Commercial to ensure that more people will be able to enjoy our Italian aperitivo.

“We have no doubt that our expansion plans will be an enormous success.”

Michael Macpherson, head of strategic lease management at CDC, said: “We are very pleased to be involved in Veeno’s journey as they continue to grow and develop as a business. Our team are aligned with Veeno’s long term strategy and we are excited to support and be a part of it.”
